Don Tomás cigars
For the blending of Don Tomás Nicaragua, master blender Agustin Garcia worked closely with the blending team in Esteli, Nicaragua, and with tobacco producer Pedro Gurdian. Gurdian is an independent tobacco grower who works exclusively for the factories of the Skandinavian Tobacco Group, owner of this brand. He specializes in growing tobacco on virgin soils in the Nicaraguan regions of Jalapa, Condega Pueblo and Esteli.
Tripe tobacco from Pedro Gurdian's fields is blended with Piloto Cubano from the Dominican Republic and harmoniously bound with Brazilian leaf from the Arapiraca region. This Arapiraca binder is a very important element, as it lends balance to the blend. At Binder, we have a shade-grown leaf from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua.
Beautifully constructed, Don Tomás cigars are consistent and burn flawlessly. The result is a medium-strength Nicaragua that will suit most aficionados. The quality/price ratio is excellent.
