Cain

Cain is one of the most daring brands in Nicaragua and the world. In fact, it's the only brand to offer cigars whose filler is made exclusively of "Ligero" (these leaves generally make up only a part of the filler (30%), providing the cigar's strength. They are complemented by volado and secco, respectively, for aroma and combustion). Thus, making a cigar with a 100% ligero filler is something of a feat, requiring a thorough understanding of this leaf. Exposed to the sun, it concentrates aromas and essential oils. By playing with ageing and provenance, they manage to nuance the cigars in strength and complexity. The leaves come from the three main producing regions: Estelli: The most powerful ligero. It should be used with care, as it can quickly dominate a given blend. Condega Estelli : This ligero is less nervous. Located to the north of Estelli, it still reveals Nicaragua's definite power and develops complex, intense aromas. Jalapa: The "mildest" of Nicaragua's ligeros, Jalapa is the northernmost region where tobacco is grown. It grows in a valley and is therefore a little less sun-damaged, presenting certain aromas that are more subtle than those of its more full-bodied neighbors. Available in three ranges, Cain cigars are all worthy of the most seasoned aficionados. The blends are indicated on each box, showing the origin and proportions of the tobaccos used.
