Genesis

As an importer, my father devoted much of his time to marketing the finest tobaccos. He took possession of LA COURONNE the cigar cellar when it opened in 1978. My mother developed a passion for cigars at an early age, making it her profession and becoming one of our country's first female cigar aficionados.

She quickly became a household name thanks to her tenacity, her love of the craft and, above all, her professionalism. Her great mastery of the art of tasting guided her every day in her hard work. And so it was that she gave shape to a brand that was just waiting to grow.

Time for a new generation 

24 years ago, it was my turn to devote myself body and soul to my inherited passion: cigars. Drawing on my parents' experience in the cigar business, I was soon driven by the desire to travel to cigar-producing countries. I absolutely had to meet the master blenders and torcedores. I wanted so much to visit these famous casa de tabacco. My curiosity drove me to discover tobacco in all its stages of transformation, to fully experience the atmosphere that reigns in this unique world.

A closer look reveals the painstaking work that goes into making a cigar. We discover the unique know-how of these men and women, revealing the incredible entrepreneurial spirit required in this artisanal industry. You need to have as much passion for this product and its terroir as for the hands behind its production. It's essential to be aware of both the poetry and the philosophy of life that holds the people of this singular universe in thrall! The stakes are so extraordinary that they become almost mystical.

The respect I feel for these men and women drives me to get up every morning with the powerful urge to pay tribute to them, in my own way. It's to them that I offer my passion on a daily basis.
