San Cristobal

When, in November 1519, the Spaniards settled on the marvellous shores of the Caribbean Sea, they wanted to call the place " San Cristobal " in homage to Christopher Columbus. However, the local Indians insisted on keeping the name "La Habana". Thus was born the name of the cigar brand " San Cristobal de La Habana", which later reverted to the name of La Habana.

At the end of 1999, 480 years after the establishment of this colony and at the dawn of the new millennium, Habanos S.A. wanted to offer aficionados a new brand of Havana. The modules of this brand are almost all of innovative dimensions, capable of satisfying the most demanding of connoisseurs.

A tribute to the history and traditions of the city of Havana, this series of four vitolas is dedicated to the military fortresses that formed the city's defenses and can still be admired today.
