Louis XIII

Louis XIII cognac is created by Rémy Martin, a company based in the town of Cognac in the Charente region of France. The company was founded in 1724 by Rémy Martin, a descendant of a long line of Charente winegrowers.

Louis XIII cognac is a blend of very old eaux-de-vie from the Charente region. It is one of the rarest and most prestigious cognacs, thanks to the strict selection of its eaux-de-vie, their exclusive origin in Grande Champagne (premier cru of the Cognac region), their very long ageing, and their limited stocks. It can be recognized by its singular bottle, a replica of a decanter said to have been found on the site of the Battle of Jarnac.
