Cigars El Trovador - PDR Cigars

Abraham "Abe" Flores' El Trovador cigars were first presented in the summer of 2016 in the United States. The initial box design was very classic, in a dark matte brown. A year later, the Maduro variant was launched.

The Wrapper is always a rosado from Ecuador. Underneath is a Binder from Nicaragua - Nicaragua Corojo and a Ligero Nicaragua + Viso Nicaragua tripe. The name of this line of cigars has a rather fascinating origin story. As everyone may not know, Abe has strong musical roots in addition to his professional background in the IT industry. He's a great bass player and never misses an opportunity to play his favorite instrument on any stage in the world. On one of his many trips to Cuba, he discovered a group called El Trovadorwhich means Troubadour in French. In addition to Verdi's opera Il Trovatore, the term also refers to poets and singers of medieval songs.

In terms of taste, they are typically Nicaraguan. Although they are made in the Dominican Republic, they do not contain Dominican tobacco. Abraham Flores himself describes them as earthy and leathery, with coffee and floral notes. The four vitolas are offered in boxes of 24 cigars at very reasonable prices.
