The story of the Padilla family can begin with Ernesto and Carlos' father, Heberto Padilla, a respected Cuban poet and artist. Heberto's first passion was writing and poetry, followed by a love of cigars. His parents owned tobacco plantations in the well-known and sought-after region of Pinar del Rio.
