Carlos Torano was raised in the cigar business, he is the fourth generation of leaf growers. It all began with his great-grandfather growing tobacco in Cuba in 1916. After the Cuban revolution, the Torano family began growing tobacco in the Dominican Republic and manufacturing cigars.

Today, Carlos Torano continues to create exceptional cigars, from the medium-bodied Exodus Silver, 1916 Cameroon and Noventa to the full-bodied Vault and Captiva; their blending philosophy is strongly influenced by their experience of tobacco growing.
