For Hibiki Japanese Harmony whisky, Suntory's makers rely on their own-sourced malt and grain whiskies. Depending on the type, they come from the Yamazaki, Hakushu or Chita distilleries and mature in different types of cask, including sherry casks and casks made from the rare Japanese oak wood known as Mizunara. The aesthetic, 24-faceted bottle is meant to represent Japan's 24 "mini seasons". The label is made of precious Echizen paper.
The taste of Hibiki Suntory Whisky Japanese Harmony is composed of orange, apricot, oak wood, white chocolate, cinnamon and slightly peppery spices. A scent of rose petals should also be recognizable. The number and exact age of the whiskies contained remain a mystery that only Suntory's master blender seems to know.
