Cigars Camacho
The origins of Camacho cigars lie in the roots of their creator: Simon Camacho from Cuba.
Created in 1961, the brand was first established in Florida, where the Cuban community was well established. During this period, much of the tobacco was sourced from Nicaragua. With its high production quality and distinctive flavours, the cigar brand successfully established itself on the American and international markets.
Five years after the death of founder Simon Camacho (1990), the brand was sold to the Eiroa family, a large Cuban family exiled since the revolution. The Eiroa family, tobacco and cigar producers for generations, transferred tobacco production from Nicaragua to Honduras. Thanks to their hard work and high production quality, the Camacho brand became one of the best-known in the United States in the 2000s. The Oettinger Group, owner of numerous brands including Davidoff, acquired Camacho in 2008. However, the fields are still owned by the Eiroa family.
