Cigars Punch

Cigars Punch

Punch changed owners several times. In 1874, the company was taken over by Luis Corujo, who refined the cigars' aromatic range and gave them more character in terms of looks and technical characteristics. Ten years later, Punch became the property of Don Manuel Lopez Fernandez, founder of Juan Valle & Co. The year 1925 was marked by a move: Punch cigars were now made in the same factory where Hoyo de Monterrey cigars were rolled. This collaboration between the two brands continues to this day for part of their production. When the Wall Street stock market crashed in October 1929, the resulting economic crisis did not spare Punch. The brand was sold again, and the buyer was Palacio y Cía. Thanks to the new owner's initiatives, Punch moved upmarket, raising its profile and significantly increasing sales.

Characteristics
Punch cigars are either mild or medium-bodied. They all release a woody note enhanced by a light tobacco aroma. To this aromatic background, typical of the brand's cigars, are added the specific flavors of each vitola. These puros are just as suitable for beginners as they are for connoisseurs. Each vitola contains a blend of tobaccos grown on Vuelta Abajo plantations. These are long-filler cigars made entirely by hand in the La Corona factory. Several modules are available, but the Corona is the most popular.
