This Ron Centenario 30 ans 40% 70cl rum marks the pinnacle of rum from Costa Rica. The distillery's oldest barrels of Latin American rum were used to make this special cuvée, a combination of premium rums, as recommended in the "Solera" production process.
The casks are white in color, and lightly burned on the inside. They have been used to age the whisky before being filled with rum Ron Centenario. Each barrel is tasted before and after filling, to ensure that it remains as faithful as possible to this unique taste.
During fermentation, an open technique is used to ensure a homogeneous process. After 30 years of ageing, the cellar masters allow only a few bottles to be bottled, forming the jewel in the Ron Centenario crown.
At the 2011 International Spirits Challenge, this rum came first out of 700 rums selected.
