Thanks to the expertise of the owner and the almost infinite possibilities offered by the art of blending, this "compte 15" reveals itself in a fresh, bright register. The fruity, gourmand notes are accompanied by a delicate, mellow woodiness. This profile, as expressive as it is charming, will work wonders alongside a relatively powerful Havana.
Armagnac 15 Ans D'Aurensan is made from Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche grapes grown in the Aurensan vineyard of the same name. The soil, characterized by the presence of chalk and clay, favors the development of the vine's roots, which grow several meters deep, where they find all the nutrients the plant needs.
Continuous distillation is followed by 15 years' ageing in barrels made from oak grown on the same estate. This armagnac belongs to the Triple Zero category, as it requires no dilution, nor addition of sugar or colorants. In this way, the characteristics of armagnac that are the result of meticulous work in the vineyard and its long, mysterious elaboration remain intact.
