Cigars MUWAT
The MUWAT cigar story began during the final consumer product blending session at the Joya de Nicaragua factory, at the end of 2010, during a Cigar Safari tour.
After conducting blending sessions over the previous 3 years at the Drew Estate factory, we were optimized to extend the concept to JDN. I worked with the JDN team using DE tobaccos, including a San Andreas Negro wrapper, an Ecuadorian Connecticut Binder and a Brazilian Mata Fina tripe, combined with Nicaraguan tripe supplied by JDN.
The blend turned out to be rich and earthy, with a lively, sweet nuance. As the months went by, I felt that this blend was very noble in the 6 × 60 format and called this cigar "MUWAT". We all had a good laugh about the name, but when I returned to their factory to pick up the fifty or so sticks, the "MUWAT" brand was officially born.
