In keeping with our heritage, we have created the Dominicana that reflects the vitality and colorful culture of the Dominican Republic. To accomplish this considerable task, our master blenders combined five varieties of Dominican tobacco with an Ecuadorian Binder , completing the creation with a Yamasá H-133 Dominican wrapper, the latter having been used in the making of the Puro d'oro line which is no longer on the market. We're delighted to have succeeded in developing a cigar that combines the complexity of vintage aromas with the smoothness and elegance of the "White Band" collection, which captures all the Dominican joie de vivre in one cigar. The dominicana is crowned by a "pigtail" at its tip, underscoring the extraordinary skills of the brand's torcedors. At its base, a golden ring reveals the year in which these tobaccos were harvested. To acquire the vibrant taste sensation of what lies at the origin of Dominican culture, Davidoff's master blenders have opened the tobacco vaults to demonstrate the brand's audacity. The blends of these tobaccos, over six years old, offer a complex and particularly pleasant array of flavors. The first third seduces with notes of fresh spices provided by the Yamasa Visus tripe of tobaccos, complemented by touches of black pepper and oak. The second third offers creamy notes with aromas of leather and chocolate. The final third concludes the tasting with dried fruit flavors combining with oak and spice aromas. The aging process of this 2014 harvest delivers an unparalleled smoky experience. To ensure that the cigars arrive in perfect condition while optimizing flavor development, the cigars were rolled 12 months prior to the line's release. This final maturation period ensures a moment of happiness for all aficionados who choose to sample one of these exclusive cigars. The line comprises three formats to suit everyone's preferences: a Toro, a Robusto and a Short Robusto. The vitolas are presented in boxes of ten, in packaging that highlights the vintage tobacco blend with a sticker.
