An integrated chip to inform the consumer

Cigar brand Plasencia has developed a system that combines technology and tradition, with a cigar featuring an integrated chip. Plasencia has teamed up with Legacy Secure to develop a system incorporating exciting technology that will provide a wealth of information about the cigar both to the retailer and, above all, to the consumer. The aim is to educate the consumer about the brand's long history, while at the same time highlighting the craftsmanship behind the manufacture of a cigar. Indeed, if you own a cell phone, you can access this service without even downloading an application. The brand has worked closely with Legacy Secure to develop a smart chip which is currently being tested on Alma Fuerte Sixto l Hexagon Colorado Claro and box* cigars.     As soon as a distributor or consumer opens his or her phone, the smart chip authenticating the cigar instantly opens a web page giving access to all possible information on the cigar. This page features high-definition photos, as well as information on the cigar's blend, tasting notes and other details enabling a complete understanding of the product. There will also be content developed with a view to educating a wide audience about the family's 150+ year history in the tobacco business Plasencia. The family Plasencia attaches great importance to customer feedback, in order to constantly improve the quality of both the service offered and the products themselves. Thanks to this new integrated element, the final consumer will have the opportunity to share his opinion, as this technology will also enable the cigar to be evaluated "live" during tasting.
