The Cohiba Novedosos for LCDH, Habanos specialists

For the first time in its history, Cohiba will create an exclusive cigar reserved for specialist retailers of La Casa del Habanos or Habanos. This cigar is Cohiba Novedosos, a 6 1/7 (156 mm) x 50 parejo that should be sold in boxes of 25. The cigar features a secondary band bearing the logos of La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist. Although the cigar is limited for the retailers where it will be sold, it is not a limited edition. Habanos Specialist is a designation awarded to hundreds of stores that meet the criteria defined by Habanos SA. Casa del Habano is another designation, currently owned by around 90 stores, considered to be the leading retailers of Cuban cigars in their respective regions. Stores bearing the designation must meet an even longer list of qualifications, including large stocks of aged stock. In addition to receiving exclusive products, LCDHs and Habanos specialists are also given priority allocations for new releases. By Charlie Minato
