Davidoff announces the new Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2019

Davidoff Cigars is set to release another complex blend of multiple origins in its Winston Churchill cigar range. The magnificent Robusto cigar with tobaccos from Nicaragua, Mexico and the Dominican Republic will be available for a limited time - The Traveller. "After the successful launch of Winston Churchill's" The Original Collection "in 2014, and the success of the more intense" The Late Hour " range, with the industry's first unique blend aged in scotch casks, our Master Blenders took on the challenge of creating another complex multi-origin blend inspired by the rich character of Winston Churchill," explains Sybille Johner, Brand Marketing Manager at Oettinger Davidoff AG. "Sir Winston was an explorer, a traveler, constantly expanding his horizons, exploring new places and trying new things. We wanted this limited edition to celebrate this facet of his character, and our Master Blenders have done a remarkable job in designing a beautiful, extremely well-balanced Robusto cigar that will take aficionados on an exciting sensory journey." The cigar "Traveler is designed in a magnificent Robusto 50 x 5 format, offering multilayered notes of wood and earth at first, followed by sweet, spicy flavors. In the second third, pleasant stimuli of unctuous sweetness develop on the palate, with elegant coffee, leather and cinnamon spice notes, as well as pepper and nut notes in the retro-hale. The cigar finishes with intensified complex aromas of wood and leather, complemented by notes of salted caramel. A delicious taste experience inspired by Winston Churchill's rich character and the key places in his life. Limited to 8,000 boxes worldwide, Robusto cigars are presented in magnificent boxes inspired by leather travel cases. They include a Boveda humidification device that turns them into travel humidifiers that will allow aficionados to embark on their next trip. The icon on the cigar boxes reflects some of the key places in Sir Winston Churchill's life: cities like London and Washington that shaped the commander and statesman, and places that inspired his art, like Marrakech.
