For many, the highlight of the Festival del Habano, the Cuban cigar festival, is the unique humidor auction held on the final evening of the event. The humidor auction is organized by Habanos S.A. to raise funds for the Cuban health system. It regularly generates over 1.5 million dollars.

Shanken is publisher and editor-in-chief of Cigar Aficionado, Wine Spectator, Whiskey Advocate and Market Watch magazines, as well as numerous print and digital newsletters.

The Romeo y Julieta Grand Churchill's humidor was presented during the last Festival del Habano. Only 450 numbered humidors will be produced.
