Diplomaticos

The brand's vitolas are known for their similarities to Montecristo, particularly in terms of the aromatic panel marked by a hazelnut taste. These similarities are logical: right from their launch, Diplomaticos were presented as the less expensive, affordable version of Montecristo puros. Each Montecristo cigar is matched by a Diplomaticos cigar. Not surprisingly, the same calibers (modules) are found in both brands, with the difference that Diplomaticos cigars are offered at slightly lower prices.

A few special features Diplomaticos cigars are rolled entirely by hand in the Jose Marti factory, as are some Montecristos. What's more, all the cigars in the Diplomaticos catalog are long filler. The tobacco leaves come exclusively from the plantations of Vuelta Abajo, both those used in the filler and those for the binder and wrapper. The draw is pleasant, and each puff gives off a thick smoke. Generally speaking, the strength of these vitolas ranges from medium to full-bodied. However, the blend of tobaccos used is specially designed to make Diplomaticos cigars milder than Montecristo. The aim of this decision is to adapt the brand's cigars to the tastes of French smokers. They are suitable for beginner smokers, although connoisseurs will also appreciate them.
