Castle Hill Single Malt Edition Käser Whisky is a “haute couture” version of Castle Whisky. It has been distilled for over 8 years in French oak barrels and is presented in a full proof version. The intense nose reveals the aromatic density linked to the strength of the alcohol. This density is expressed by fruity, woody and caramelised notes on a light smoky touch. On the palate, the smokiness is expressed on woody and liquorice notes.
Edition Käser has already won several awards and is featured in the book “101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die” by Ian Buxton. A whisky for those special tasting moments.
Whisky Castle was founded in 1999 by Ruedi Käser in Elfingen, Aargau. One of the pioneers of Swiss whisky, this house offers today some fine productions, with a minimum of 5 years of ageing guaranteed in their single malt (the current production is rather on 7 to 8 years of age). Today, it is Mickael and Raphaël who work for the development of the brand.
