The 3 new lines in the 1880 series from Casa Turrent

The year 2022 marks the release of 3 new cigar lines to complement Casa Turrent 's 1880 series. The company has announced the distribution of new Mexican puros: the Doble Maduro 1880, the Doble Claro 1880 and the Rosado 1880.

The lightest of the 3, the Doble Claro, is rolled in a Wrapper Connecticut, a Binder Negro San Andres and a San Andres Criollo tripe leaf. The Rosado has a Habano wrapper, a Binder Habano 2000 and a San Andrés Habano tripe leaf, giving it extra strength and more pronounced flavours. The new J.C. lines Newman

In a video published on Halloween evening 2021, J. C. Newman announced several new projects: the new version of El Baton, the release of Diamond Crown Black Diamond and the new Angel Cuesta line.

Launched in 1914, the El Baton line of Nicaraguan puros is getting a makeover. It will now be produced at the J. C. Newman PENSA plant in Esteli, Nicaragua, and will be "bigger and bolder than ever before".

The Diamond Crown Black Diamond will be manufactured by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic. J. C. Newman describes it as a "super luxury" version of its predecessor. It will be made from older tobaccos and will benefit from a new press and new rings. Launched in 2016, the Black Diamond collection is produced from Connecticut Havana wrapper and Dominican Republic-grown leaves.

As for the new Angel Cuesta line, the mystery is still unsolved. We already know that it will be produced in the El Reloj factory in Tampa, Florida, and that its cigars will feature a pigtail head. The name Angel Cuesta also pays tribute to the brand's founder, Cuesta-Rey.

Carrillo described it as a medium to strong cigar with a peppery overtone and hints of caramel.
