Costa Cigars

The history of Costa Cigars

As tobacco is an allotropic product, it acquires the taste and smell of the place where it is processed. TABACOSTA has integrated Cuban techniques to improve and valorize the tobacco leaves after a process of about 3 months, thus our raw material “tobacco” acquires a high quality among the best in the world.

Our cigars are made in the “entubao” way by folding the leaves in such a way as to create air passages that guarantee that each puff contains the totality of the tobacco aromas. The heart of the cigar is a mixture of three types of leaves.

Once our cigars have been made, they are placed in a cooling cabinet, called an ESCAPARATE, in which the cigars are kept for three months after rolling. The strictest humidity conditions (69% relative humidity) and temperature (20°C) are monitored in the ESCAPARATE, which is entirely covered with cedar wood.

The liguas used to make our cigars have been tasted and contrasted to ensure that the aroma, flavour and combustion give the smoker a pleasant pleasure with each puff. We have also taken care to give the cigar the correct measurement, certifying that the weight, diameter and length result from the same shape as Cuban cigars. The cigars are made by cigar rollers with over 20 years of experience.
