Por Larrañaga Cigars

Por Larrañaga was founded in 1834 by a Spanish man, Ignacio Larrañaga. The factory was initially located at 94 O’Reilly Street. In 1840, Ignacio Larrañaga moved his workshops to 58 San Miguel Street to accommodate the need for more space. After a few difficult years, the brand was bought in 1870 by Antonio Rivero Martinez. He was the first to introduce automatic cigar rolling in Cuba.

The quality of the vitolas was exceptional. The brand was soon nicknamed the University of Havana. Por Larrañaga cigars are produced today in the “La Corona” factory. These vitolas are known for their sweetness of flavour.
